Liverpool stole the win against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday thanks to a bizarre own goal from Toby Alderweireld at the death of the game at Anfield. It was a massive goal which kept the Reds in contention for the Premier League silverware.
Jurgen klopp’s men are still behind defending champions Manchester City, though, and can’t afford any more slip-ups in six remaining rounds. They travel to the south of the country to play Southampton in the first fixture of Matchday No 33 on Friday evening at St Mary’s Stadium.
It will be a serious challenge for Liverpool as they go up against an in-form opposition. The Saints head into the clash high on confidence after winning two on the spin in the league.
