After upsetting Mumbai, Rajasthan Royals (RR) will hope to ride on their record of six wins in seven games against Delhi Capitals (DC) to revive their IPL 2019 playoff hopes.

Four of those wins have come in Jaipur, where their H2H record reads 4-1. However, this season has been an indifferent one with the Royals winning just two of their five home fixtures. With at least four wins needed out of their next five, RR can’t afford to lose again.

The class of Sanju Samson (239 runs, SR 147.53) keeps sparkling for RR, but consistency remains a worry. With Jos Buttler out and Ashton Turner yet to score an IPL run, Steve Smith (245 runs, SR 110.85) has a lot riding on what could be his last match of the season.

Delhi have four wins in their last five matches and have already picked up six for the season. Interestingly, the Capitals have won four of their five away games in IPL 2019, as they look to beat their ‘Jaipur Jinx’.

The improving form of Shikhar Dhawan (347 runs, SR 130.94) keeps giving them quick starts, although the dwindling returns of Prithvi Shaw and Rishabh Pant are a worry. Kagiso Rabada (21 wickets, ER 7.69) keeps taking wickets for fun and should once again be the leader of their pack.

RR vs DC T20 – Players To Watch Out For

The unassuming youngster Riyan Parag (SR 137.20) gives an interesting option for RR, with his part-time spin, although his hard-hitting catches the eye.

It is still a mystery why DC doesn’t play Sandeep Lamichhane (eight wickets, ER 8.70) more often than they do. With his simple yet effective leg-spinners, he can be the springboard for DC’s success.

Stat Attack

RR have won only 34 of the 84 IPL matches (40.48%) they started as outsiders, although the record improves to 21 of 38 as the outsider at home (55.26%).

RR have won seven of the 11 H2H matches in which they have lost the toss.
Delhi endured the largest IPL loss at this venue (by 105 runs in 2008).

DC have lost the toss three times in Jaipur and lost all three matches.
