The performance in the first ODI was a welcome win for Team India, after a disappointing T20I series and now head into the second ODI with momentum on their side as they take on Australia at Nagpur.

Expected Playing XI:

Team India: Dhawan, Rohit, Virat(C), Rayudu, Dhoni(WK), Jadhav, Shankar,Jadeja, Kuldeep, Bumrah and Shami.

Team Australia: Finch(C), Khawaja, Marsh, Handscomb, Stoinis, Maxwell, Carey(WK), Cummins, Coulter-Nile, Zampa and Behrendorff

Heartening for Virat Kohli would be the fact that his side chased down a 150+ target without any one from the top-three scoring a fifty. Due credit to the bowlers, led by Mohammed Shami (2/44) and Kuldeep Yadav (2/46). One end was tied down by Ravindra Jadeja (10-0-33-0), which meant India picked up five wickets between overs 15-40. It looked as if the Indian bowlers had a key to pick up a wicket whenever they needed one!

Although the result was frustrating for the Aussies, there were plenty of positives for them in the first ODI and they will be looking to capitalise on it in the IND vs AUS 2nd ODI.

Fantasy Cricket- Players to watch out for

  2. Rohit Sharma- Hitman averages 75 against Australia at home and will be set to score big in 2nd ODI.
  3. Glenn Maxwell: He is a man in form and it would be foolish not to have him in our squads.
  4. Mahendra Singh Dhoni: MSD has been averaging a humongous 250 runs in last 5 innings.
