  • Can Delhi Daredevils turn their fortunes around this IPL season?
Gautam Gambhir will be spearheading Delhi Daredevils this IPL season.

Delhi Daredevils pose a real threat to other IPL teams this season as everyone will be fighting for the IPL crown. There’s a new sense of excitement in the Delhi Daredevils camp and rightly so.

Gautam Gambhir has finally returned to the team where his IPL journey began. He will be spearheading the Delhi Daredevils and hoping to recreate his KKR magic at Feroz Shah Kotla. Surprisingly, Delhi Daredevils managed to rope in some great players in the auctions. They are arguably one of the strongest sides in the 11th edition of IPL.
Aussie legend Ricky Ponting will be the coach and he might just be the guy to turn DD’s fortunes around. Gambhir-Ponting combo seems to be the final jigsaw in the puzzle and it will be great if they can bring some glory to this rather depleted franchisee. Delhi Daredevils has a perfect blend of proven international stars and domestic players. DD will most probably fill the international players quota by playing explosive Kiwi opener Colin Munro, Glenn Maxwell, Chris Morris and Trent Boult in the initial few matches. Delhi Daredevils has made excellent picks in the spinners department in the form of IPL legend Amit Mishra, Shabaz Nadeem & Jayant Yadav. Their economy doesn’t cross 7.5 which is absolutely fantastic considering IPL is tailor-made for the batters.
It will be fairly interesting to see how this Delhi Daredevils side will fare in IPL’s 11th edition. Hopefully, exciting times lie ahead for Delhi Daredevils faithful.
