  • SRH vs CSK T20: ProSports11 Preview, Predicted 11 & Fantasy Cricket Tips

With four of their last five fixtures to be played on the road, 2018 runners-up Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) can ill afford to drop points at home. They have it all to do against a Chennai Super Kings (CSK) outfit who have won three of their last four away from Chennai.

Wanting to put the demons of a 96/10 effort against Mumbai behind them, SRH instead exacerbated their woes with the worst eight-wicket collapse (for just 15 runs) in franchise history. They have evidently become far too dependent on the Warner-Bairstow opening partnership who continue to break records to no avail.

The dynamic duo have survived the powerplay on five of seven occasions, owning the franchise’s five highest partnerships (all 65+ runs) of 2019 and doing all they can to set up plenty of SRH victories. Despite first innings scores of 155 or less being successfully defended on just eight of 28 occasions in Hyderabad, they couldn’t come close to chasing down such a total set by Delhi on Sunday.

There have been just six occasions of a visiting team batting first and winning in Hyderabad (from 26 attempts), and if anyone can post the seventh, it will be the men in yellow, who have won both fixtures in 2019 when setting a total.

In addition to 27 wickets collected by the spin trio of Tahir/Harbhajan/Jadeja, CSK lead the league for catching success (as of Monday), having snagged 45 of 51 (88%) chances. Conversely, SRH have dropped nearly one-in-three opportunities.

SRH vs CSK T20 – Players To Watch Out For

Rashid Khan (SRH) is enjoying his most economical IPL yet (5.78 runs per over), but would be quietly concerned with just six wickets in seven matches.

Ravindra Jadeja (CSK) reminded us of his deadliness at any stage of the game, completing the chase against KKR with 31* (17) after an ineffective four overs with the ball.

Stat Attack

SRH’s average powerplay score of 50 is the highest of 2019, while CSK have the lowest with just 37.4 runs inside the first six overs (after Sunday’s fixtures).

CSK have not lost to SRH since their two-year exile from the IPL, winning all four H2H clashes in 2018. SRH’s win-rate of 63.64% as an outsider at home is the third-best in the league.
